Counselor Profile: Susan Kazik, APSW

I am a dedicated Advanced Practice Social Worker with a deep commitment to empowering individuals and families through compassionate, evidence-based care.  With a holistic approach to mental health, I bring warmth, insight and professionalism to every interaction.  I hold a Master’s degree in social work and am licensed in the state of Wisconsin.  My career thus far has been in service to others; working in non-profit programs and organizations, as well as community mental health and health care settings.  My clinical interests include grief & loss, life transitions, depression, anxiety and supporting individuals and families impacted by cognitive impairment or chronic illness.  I have a collaborative style, integrating cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness and strengths-based approaches to help clients build resilience and achieve meaningful awareness and change.  I believe in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them as they navigate life’s challenges.  Outside of my clinical work, I am passionate about advocacy, continual learning and contributing to a more equitable and inclusive mental health landscape.
